I’m back with a diet update! Week 2 Results
My main goal for starting this program was to finally find something I can actually stick to. Stick to it long term to lose weight and increase my overall health.
I am happy to announce that after only 2 short weeks I have lost 5 pounds and 1.5 inches over all!
On top of that, I am really just loving this program. So far I haven’t felt deprived in the evenings at all. I LOVE going to bed with a full stomach. I mean, who likes going to bed on an empty stomach??
The carbs are also a massive win for me. I’m a big fruit lover and I’ve been getting to eat fruits every day! This past week I got to eat blueberries every day, one of my favorite foods ever. I read a great excerpt in the book about berries saying, “Specific higher-carbohydrate foods (including berries and cherries) support your fat-burning metabolism while you sleep, providing your body with a steady stream of fuel throughout the night. The trick is knowing how to combine them with other evening and pre-bedtime fat-burning foods to fuel your metabolism as you sleep.”
How awesome is that? I knew blueberries were full of antioxidants and vitamins, but these added night time benefits make them even more amazing. I love that I get to eat them every day and feel good about it.
Meal Planning and Recipes
Another great thing about the program is that it’s so easy to meal plan. There is a great meal plan laid out in the book. If you hate being told what to eat, he also lays it out and makes it easy to make you own meal plan for the week.
The recipes are fantastic too! For my desserts this week I am having these No Bake Salted Caramel Bars. Just look at them!
These bars honestly make it feel like I’m not even dieting at all. I mean, have you ever eaten this at night on a diet before? I know I haven’t.
