Summer time is definitely not my favorite time.
I am a fall/winter person through and through.
The only thing that carries me through these ultra hot summer days is this homemade peach ice cream. Well, not ice cream, but peach sherbet!
I am a huge fan of fruit desserts over all others, especially when it’s too hot to function. This no bake paleo dessert is chock full of fresh summer peaches, sugar free, gluten free, and most importantly super delicious!
This 3 ingredient Paleo dessert is so easy and healthy, it’s perfect for nearly every way of eating! Even if you don’t follow Paleo or a specific dietary plan, you will love it!
Paleo, Vegan, Vegetarian Friendly
I eat a very relaxed Paleo diet.
Meaning, I follow it most of the time. When I start falling off the rails and feeling rough, it’s always my go to way of eating that I know will start helping me feel better and shed a few pounds quickly.
Since I’m a fan of fruit as dessert over anything super chocolate-y or decadent, I originally created this recipe for myself. Paleo fruit desserts are easy enough to come by, but it’s hot a heck during Texas summers and I needed something frozen!
After a few searches for frozen peach recipes, I was inspired to create this healthy peach recipe! It’s not only a paleo friendly recipe either. It’s gluten-free and vegan friendly as well! Really a win all around and a perfect summer dessert for everyone to enjoy!
Sooo…Sherbet, Sherbert, or Sorbet??
Why are there so many different names for frozen fruit desserts? Well, it turns out they are actually different things! Well, kind of.
Sherbet and sherbert are essentially the same thing from what I can find. Sherbet is a frozen fruit dessert with a low milk content (so not quite ice cream) while sorbet is a dairy-free fruit dessert. Sherbert happens to be a (probably incorrect) alternate spelling for sherbet.
I’ve always spelled it sherbert. 🤷 I suppose it doesn’t really matter.
Anyway……….on to the recipe!
