I Belong To Me |
Released: October 2006 Director: Matthew Rolston Album: A Public Affair Jessica is mainly seen singing in face shots, however, the video also shows Jessica walking through a house while looking through some packed objects, it's clear that she had recently moved into the house. Wearing nothing but her under-pants and a t-shirt, Jessica heads onto a bathroom where she cuts her own hair in front of the mirror with tiny nail-scissors, she uses heavy make-up and puts on a tiara, to later take them off towards the end of the video, where she washes her face with water and looks up to the mirror. Simpson is also seen crying on several occasions of the video. The video was shot in both color and black and white formats. |

These Boots Are Made For Walkin' |
Released: June 2005 Director: Brett Ratner Album: The Dukes Of Hazzard OST The video begins with Simpson (as Daisy Duke) climbing out of the General Lee into a bar. Simpson, a waitress at the bar, can be seen flirting with customers and dances on the bar stand. Her actions are meant to be seen and not touched, but one customer takes things a bit too far when he slaps her buttocks with his hand. She punches her harasser onto the floor. This leads to a bar fight. Jessica then begins to sing the song's bridge with the assistance of Willie Nelson on guitar and backup vocals. The video then shifts back to the bar where the men have joined Simpson and the other dancers in an impromptu square dance. The whole bar continues to dance intercut with scenes of the mysterious figure until the video switches locations, shifting to the song's most controversial scene. The mysterious figure turns out to be Simpson, herself, wearing nothing but a pink bikini as she proceeds to wash the General Lee with only a bucket of water and some soap. |

Let it Snow |
Released: December 2004 Director: ? Album: Re-Joyce Many of Jessica's videos do not have a plot, they make up for it in other aspects such as their lighting, art direction, or other technical aspects. The video for "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" does not have any of those features. Instead the video consists of nothing but footage of Simpson clutching an umbrella against an fake city backdrop with falling snow. |
O Holy Night |

Angels |
Released:
July 2004 Album: In This Skin The video for "Angels" is relatively low key. It starts with Simpson on an empty stage rehearsing for a performance. She can be seen in intercut scenes staring into space, as if she has lost her self-confidence and ability to perform. As the song progresses, however, white roses can be seen scattered around her as a sign of hope, and soon Simpson begins to regain her confidence. The song then shifts into its instrumental bridge to correlate with the emotions of the characters, as Simpson proceeds to climb to the top of the building for her final performance. There she is greeted by a youth orchestra, and finishes the song. |

Take My Breath Away |
Released:
April 2004 Album: In This Skin The video is often believed to the most plotless of Simpson's videos. It shows her driving through a southwestern desert. She stops to fill up with gas, and then arrives at a diner where she watches lovers in motion. Shots in the car, in the desert surrounded by trees and in a doorway of the diner are particular beautifully shot. |

With You |
Released:
October 2003 Album: In This Skin As the single was released while Newlyweds was still on air and at the peak of its popularity, the video of the song was created to parallel the show. The video which takes place at Jessica's home starts off with Jessica washing the dishes and the kitchen floor in an awkward manner. In the midst of washing the dishes, Simpson is seen with a shirt that says "Plata-Ma-Pus". (In newlyweds she was confused about the pronunciation of platypus as "plata-ma-pus".) The video then shifts into the second verse showing a picture of Jessica with Nick. In another joke to Newlyweds, Miss Simpson can be seen on the couch eating Chicken Of The Sea tuna. The scene soon shifts to yet another reference to the show as Jessica attempts to do dirty laundry. The video then launches into arguably the most infamous joke made from Newlyweds: Simpson can be seen over a clean kitchen floor munching on buffalo wings. The video finally ends with the last reference to Newlyweds by showing Jessica attempting to golf. Due to the video's cross appeal to fans of Newlyweds, the video of the song was released as a DVD single. |
