"Where You Are" is the second single from Jessica Simpson's debut album, Sweet Kisses. Released in 2000, the single (which is a duet with Nick Lachey) reached sixty-two on the Billboard Hot 100 , becoming Simpson's second Hot 100 chart entry. The single is most known for being the first single ever in which Simpson professionally records with Lachey. (The couple have gone on to record several duets since then including, but not limited to "A Whole New World" and "Baby, It's Cold Outside".) "Where You Are" was written once again by Louis Biancaniello and Sam Watters (the two also produced the track) with writing assistance from A. Stampoulou and Simpson's then-boyfriend, now-husband Nick Lachey. Due to the sentimental lyrics of the single, it was also included on the Here on Earth soundtrack.
